I have completed or am currently doing work on the projects listed below.
Please note that I did not participate in the design of my clients' websites, unless specified otherwise.
A new and revised version of the previous Eddie's One Minute website. Version two features extensive upgrades to the content management system and now relies heavily on AJAX for many site functions, creating an improved user experience with dramatically reduced load times and many more interactive features.
Ongoing development efforts include the eventual conversion of most of the site to an AJAX based design. My work primarily focused on building the back-end software, the administration interface, all of the scripting, and converting the layout (which was created by another designer) to XHTML code.
A website featuring Eddie Cain Irvin's original music, Eddie's One Minute features one minute of music/video every day for an entire year. The website is built in PHP and utilizes MySQL for all data storage. The entire website is dynamically generated to facilitate management of content on a daily basis.
I custom designed all components including the content management system, a news feed (with RSS output capabilities), an interactive AJAX-based comments system, and a search engine. Additionally I built a file uploader (based off of modified pre-built components) which allows users to upload their own content for inclusion in future One Minute videos.
The file uploader is unique because it utilizes AJAX to report upload status back to the browser which is then displayed as a progress bar and a table of statistics, important when transferring large multimedia files on internet connections with limited upload throughput.
I was the sole designer/developer of a next-generation web portal for patient assessment. This application was built entirely using ASP.NET 2.0/C# and Microsoft SQL Server, utilizing no pre-built components. All content is dynamically generated based on configuration information supplied by Stall Geriatrics staff. A fully featured secure web administration interface has been implemented to facilitate rapid deployment of new medical information.
I was the sole designer/developer of a next-generation web portal for patient records manangement. This application was built entirely using ASP.NET 2.0/C# and Microsoft SQL Server, utilizing no pre-built components. A fully featured secure web administration interface allows for rapidly viewing and exporting data.
I worked as a .NET/C# developer on a new version of BizConductor, the company's flagship business process management software. I was involved in design of new features as well as conversion of older COM-based code to updated .NET managed code.
I worked on developing a management portal for internal use by CTC employees. Built on ASP.NET 1.1/C# and Microsoft SQL Server, it was designed to manage accounts, finances, employee hours, etc. This application provided a unified environment to track business functions across multiple offices.
The CTC website was designed to allow customers to view available phones and products currently available for sale. The website also allows customer feedback through surveys and promotions.
I upgraded existing PHP code to repair problems and improve performance in a survey application built into the Animal Artisans website.
IT Consultation
I implemented a custom web proxy/content filtering solution for the Cleveland Hill Fire Department network. I also helped perform a network-wide upgrade to Active Directory/Group Policy, and wrote a number of scripts utilizing Windows Script Host and Remote Scripting to automate Active Directory and other general network management operations.
